Expanding Maritime Intelligence with SynMax
Satellogic has entered into a commercial agreement with SynMax, establishing their Theia platform as the exclusive channel for maritime intelligence derived from our upcoming Merlin constellation.
Under this agreement, daily 1-meter class Earth observation imagery and co-collected AIS data from Merlin will feed directly into SynMax’s Theia platform. This integration provides government and commercial customers with an AI-native solution for dark-vessel detection, sanctions monitoring, and illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing analysis.
Scaling Persistent Intelligence with Upcoming October Satellite Launches
October will mark another step in the expansion of our satellite infrastructure, with four new satellites scheduled to launch aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-18 mission on October 1: two NewSat Mark VI satellites, one NewSat Mark V, and Merlin.01, the first satellite in our new Merlin constellation.
Together, these launches will expand our capabilities across Persistent Global Intelligence, inter-satellite connectivity, and sovereign space systems.
Satellogic had a strong presence at this year’s World Space Business Week (WSBW) in Paris, with participation across the event’s program and several key moments throughout the week.
Our CEO, Emiliano Kargieman, joined a panel discussion on the evolution of the space industry, alongside hosting an executive leadership luncheon with partners to discuss persistent monitoring.
Welcoming Vice Admiral (Ret.) Frank Whitworth as President
After serving as a strategic advisor to Satellogic since March 2026, Frank D. “Trey” Whitworth will now lead internal operations as President, bringing together mission strategy, sales, and marketing as we continue to expand our defense and intelligence capabilities.
A former Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Trey brings more than 36 years of leadership experience across the U.S. Navy and the intelligence community. His expertise in national security and geospatial intelligence will support Satellogic’s continued growth of sovereign-trusted satellite programs for defense and intelligence partners around the world.
